Denmark vs. Finland: Euro 2020 live stream, TV channel, how to watch online, news, odds, time
Group B of the European Championships will get underway this weekend and dark horses Denmark will be up against Scandinavian neighbors and debutants Finland. Parken Stadium will host the clash and the Danes are expected to take an early lead in the group with Belgium and Russia meeting in Saint Petersburg later. Can Denmark handle their status as one of the popular outside bets for summer success, or will the Finns follow the example of Iceland and announce their arrival at international level in memorable fashion?
A solid and physical Danish squad has many people suspecting that Kasper Hjulmand's men can go far this summer and the 1992 winners have pedigree at this level having been semifinalists in 1984 as well. With Christian Eriksen back from the dead with Inter Milan, their star man is in good shape and a mean defense will be marshaled by captain Simon Kjaer with set pieces looking likely to be a fruitful source of goals.
Denmark face Finland this afternoon as the teams get Euro 2020’s Group B under way in Copenhagen.
Belgium and Russia join these two sides in the group, meaning the Danes and Finnish must fire on all cylinders to progress to the round of 16.
Denmark and Finland may well find themselves in a three-way race with Russia to qualify second behind Belgium – one of the competition’s favourites – though there is the possibility that one of them advances as a third-placed finisher.
Denmark will be beginning their Euro 2020 campaign against Finland in Match No 3 on Saturday, June 12 at the Parken. The 1992 European champions, who qualified for the 2004 quarter-finals, haven't been able to perform as well as in the last two editions as they were knocked out in the group stage in 2012 and couldn't;t qualify for the series in 2016. But this time, they have been in a better shape as they played out a draw against Germany in a friendly on June 2.
Finland, on the other hand, are coming from two losses in the friendlies against Sweden and Estonia. While they were in some kind of form winning four games in the latter half of 2020, however, in the last six games, tahye haven't won a single game.
